The pioneer of Superhero TV series. The one who started it all. It aired from 2001- 2011 showing 10 seasons before it ended. It followed the story of a young Clark Kent and his rise to the iconic role of Superman. It is the one classic people will not forget.
09. Gotham, FX
It’s debut season was spoiled by uneven pacing but now it has started to come forward on its own. The story follows the origin of many Batman’s nemesis and of a recently orphaned Bruce Wayne.

The reboot series of 2006’s Heroes. It features a smattering of characters old and new, as it tries to recapture the magic that was left by the first season of the original series Although a second season has not yet been confirmed.

A mature, noir-esqe superhero genre. This is a show that deals with the really dark stuff and having a more bad-ass villan (Killgrave) didn’t surely hurt. The show provides a startling insightful narrative on consent and abuse.

This show’s return was one of the most anticipated moments of 2016. Drew Goddard and Steven DeKnight’ violent Netflix version and Vincent D’Onofrio’s chilling performance as Wilson Fisk won us over.

This comic book show is easily the best at what it does. There was never a series more truer to the insanity of its source material. Parallel universes, Time travel, bringing a psychic gorilla on TV screen with its brilliant CGI. It’s all been there done that for this series.
