Barcelona’s players including Messi Suarez Neymar were back in training on Saturday as they looked eager to put a horrific couple of weeks behind them.

Messi Suarez and Neymar were all pictured looking reasonably cheerful after their quarter-final Champions League exit at the hands of the rival Atletico Madrid on Wednesday and defeat to Real Madrid in La Liga tournament.

But despite their recent show of poor form, the Catalan giants could still finish their season on a high note.

Luis Enrique’s side are now three points clear of Atletico with eight games still remaining in Spain’s top flight.

They are also in the Copa del Rey final and will next play Sevilla with the intention of winning their 28th Spanish cup finally.

Barca host Valencia on Sunday night and they will sincerely be aiming to register back-to-back victories after they defeated Sevilla last week.

Gerard Pique was found scathing of his fellow team-mates after their Champions League exit in midweek and he confesses that Barca find themselves in a rut.

Enrique’s team have won only one game in their last five matches and Pique issued a fair warning to his fellow players.

‘We are in a little slump. You’re not always at your best. Things go better or are worse,’ he told the Spanish newspaper AS.

‘The team was hungry to score [against Atletico] but the ball would not go in. This is football. We believe that we are very good, but not always at our best.’

And even if Barca go on and win both La Liga as well as the Copa del Rey, he concedes it’ll be rather tough to celebrate given a disappointing campaign in the Champions League.

‘I will not deny that it has been a very hard blow that we did not expect,’ he added.

‘We have to get up. We play the league and cup and they are two very nice competitions we expect to win.’
