A tragic news involving the family of a five-year-old Afghan boy has surprised people in a global scale. The child had been getting some fame of late because, to the awe of the fans, he received autographed shirts from his football icon and Argentinian star Lionel Messi. But things have changed drastically as his family was forced to leave Afghanistan amid endless telephone threats, the boy’s father remarked Tuesday.

Mohammad Arif Ahmadi – whose son grabbed notable headlines after he was photographed while wearing a homemade Argentina shirt with the famous No. 10 of Lionel Messi on the back. Arif said that they have had to move to Pakistan and and are now settled in the city of Quetta, looking for a safer prospect there.

Reports have it that the boy’s image went viral almost immediately after it was posted on social network. The little afghan kid who wore an Argentina jersey made out of plastic bag was the hot topic as soon as people saw it. It may have been this way because the picture of little afghan kid not only was cute but also contained a huge loving part and proved that he is indeed a true fan no matter what. After the picture and the news went viral,  Lionel messi himself came through and gave this kid an autographed jersey of Argentina football team. It was one true moment between a fan and a star. However this didn’t last long as threats from all over  came rolling in for this little afghan kid.

In a recent interview, little afghan kid’s father confessed a lot. “Life became a misery for us,” recollected Ahmadi quite gloomily, speaking to media from Quetta. He further included that the family didn’t really want to leave Afghanistan, but the threats kept getting more and more grave.

The father, Ahmadi is also scared whether his son, Murtaza Ahmadi, will be a victim of abduction and torture after becoming such an Internet sensation shortly after the pictures of him wearing a Argentina jersey/ Messi shirt produced out of a striped plastic bag immediately went viral. for a lot of people nowadays, going viral on the internet is an amazing thing. It makes people famous and make them a hot new topic … but not for this little afghan kid. His whole life changed after he went viral without even committing any crime. The question is, will his star and idol save him this time too ?
