Luis Suarez scored four goals in a row for the second game and unseated Cristiano Ronaldo as Primera Division top goal scorer as Barcelona thumped a 10-man Sporting Gijon 6-0 with the crucial  help of three penalties to further affirm their reasonable title ambitions as Barcelona cruise past their opponents.

Lionel Messi’s looping header put Barca right ahead on 12 minutes and Suarez doubled the lead further from close range in the 64th. The Uruguayan then netted two penalties further in the space of three minutes and allowed Neymar to convert the third spot kick before launching in his fourth goal in 26 minutes.

He showed no remorse either with his next penalty too, awarded after Neymar was barged over inside the box, and the Brazilian was able to get on the scoresheet after being viciously fouled by Vranjes, who was shown a second yellow card by the referee.

Suarez had the last word of the match though, receiving the ball in the area from Messi and then rattling it in off the near post as Barcelona cruise with visible smoothness.
